Kary - Vintage Shoot

Ok, so we were out for a drive a couple of weeks ago,(surprise surprise) and I glanced out the window only to stumble upon an absolutely killer location.(at least in my estimation) I exclaimed (to Jenny) “waoh did you see that?” As she replied “see what??” I immediately and rather recklessly crossed two lanes of highway traffic to make an urgent escape at the nearest exit ramp. Jenny in familiar fashion was firmly clinching the hand grip on the door with white knuckles, and a dreadful look on her face. A couple of quick turns off the main road, and we were there. It was sooooo cool!! A great big old rusty and weathered MOTEL sign. What could possibly be better? Now I just needed a fitting model for this location so I could meticulously exact my vision.
We’d been searching for the perfect model for a vintage themed shoot for quite some time. It has been rather discouraging to have a vision in my head that was almost an impossibility to accommodate for lack of the right model. Finally, we came across a girl who looked like she may just fit the bill. Only one of her online images revealed a glimmer of potential for this style of a shoot. However, after a bit of deliberation we decided to contact her and just dive in with both feet, and see what happened.
Well yesterday was the day, and we patiently awaited her arrival. To say she exceeded our expectations is a gargantuan understatement. She arrived with a fantastic repertoire of vintage clothes, and looked like movie stat right out of the 50’s or 60’s. It was a total shock and awe campaign, and we were itching to get started. On top of all of this, Kary is an incredibly nice person, and is super comfortable in front of the camera.(bonus) We can't wait to shoot with her again. Great job Kary!
Anyways, here are a few shots from our session.
Enjoy!!
