My little fashionistas started off a bit shy last evening, (maybe they were bored silly from my incredibly awesome lecture on all things lighting??) however it sure didn't take them long to warm up to the idea of being super models. After all, who wouldn't totally dig being a fashion model for an evening?? I was amazed at how much fun we actually had, and the super creative ideas the girls came up with on the spot. Born naturals I tell ya! I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Special props to Amanda J. for her ridiculous creativity. WOW! She is the one pictured below with the whippy hair that looks like a mohawk, and with the amish style beard made out of her own hair. That beard shot was absolutely hilarious, and looked freakishly authentic from some angles. (ok maybe from a distance) Really it was a great job by all. It sorta felt like we were shooting a GAP campaign minus the big budget, high end gear, and zany antics. All we used was a couple of off camera flashes, a soft box, and a silver lined umbrella.
WARNING!!! The images below are infused with copious amounts of FUN, and may cause you to laugh hysterically or at the very least appreciate the creativity, and passion of the next generation.
Great job girls!
My apologies to you ladies who aren't featured below... however some people were "uh hmm" little camera hogs, and these images were our faves of the night...

great shoot & great shots. You have done very well to get the girls to play up and have some fun. Not always easy to convince young girls to make themselves look silly for the camera. You got some great shots and I hope the girls were pleased with the results. They might not be that pleased when their parents drag them out at their 21st celebrations !
ReplyDeleteThanks! They had so much fun and yes they LOVE them...
