Mom is 65!!!

Balloons, presents, family, friends, and Jenny's infamous chocolate cupcakes with buttercream icing can only mean one thing. Yep...that's right, PARTY TIME!!!!!
Yesterday, we had the joy and privilege of sharing my Mom's 65th birthday with her. I was captivated as I watched her grinning from ear to ear as people arrived. She was totally overwhelmed that so many family members and friends came to share this special occasion with her. The most moving moment had to be when my mom's sister (from out of town) walked through the door.(surprise) My mom was overcome with tears, and it was truly a beautiful thing to see such unfettered emotion.(just a bit sad to have been stuck outside without my camera grrr...) It's those small fleeting moments in life that catch us unaware, and give us a true appreciation of how blessed we are. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made her birthday special.
My mom and I have hit a few bumps in the road over the years, but I'm so glad by the grace of God we have such an amazing relationship and friendship now. I can't believe how much she continues to change, and how amazing she is with Gavin. We look forward to enjoying her (babysitting skills jk) for many more years to come, and sharing the new baby Reed with her.
Happy 65th Birthday MOM from all of us!!!
Shane, Jenny, Gavin, Family & Friends

A special thanks to our friend Deborah for helping make decorations. She owns a new event planning company, and can magically make your special occasion come to life. Check out Epiphany Events!!

My mom's close friend Lucy and her husband Peter sharing a laugh. A special thanks to them for being such amazing friends, and having a great big cake for her at church today. (:

A walk with Grandma, probably Gavin's favorite moment of the day.
